The World Refugee Day Telethon is a chance to honour, recognise and celebrate the strength and resilience of refugees and people seeking asylum and the incredible contribution to our community. This year, the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre (ASRC) has placed an additional focus on partnering with refugee-led organisations to prioritise further and embed the voices of people seeking asylum in their line of work.
The CMRH is seeking support from the community for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers seeking asylum to donate to the annual World Refugee Day Telethon, powered by the ASRC, on Monday, 20 June 2022; media release with more info regarding this year’s event for extra context.
The CMRH hopes to provide young and old immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, with education, campaign awareness, counselling, research, advocacy, and policy support to recognise that mental illness can impact their lives, wellbeing, health outcomes, and quality of life.
